Making Space for God
Spiritual direction offers an intentional space to explore your relationship with God and your experience of Him. I believe God is already present and active in our lives, and sometimes we simply need space to slow down enough to notice.
As a spiritual director, I offer a slow and thoughtful presence, listening with you for what is happening beneath the surface and asking questions that help bring what matters most into view.
My hope is that our time together helps you become more attentive to God’s presence, deepen your life of prayer, and discover sustainable ways of being with Him in the midst of ordinary life.
Laura holds an MA in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care from Biola University and has completed training in spiritual direction through Talbot School of Theology.

01.
THE CALL TO SOUL CARE
THE beginning
For more than thirty years, I have followed Jesus. I have served the church as a pastor’s wife and spent much of my life investing in the local church. And yet, beneath the doing, I began to recognize a growing discontent in my own soul. I longed for more of God. I wanted a deeper connection with Jesus in the ordinary rhythms of everyday life.
That longing led me to become deeply curious about the work of the Holy Spirit in my life and about how we actually change and grow to become more like Christ. It eventually led me to seminary, where I studied Spiritual Formation and Soul Care at Talbot School of Theology.
I had never experienced spiritual direction before beginning that journey. I simply came with an openness to what God might have for me and a willingness to let Him meet me in new ways. As I encountered new ways of praying, something began to change. I found myself experiencing God with greater intimacy and becoming more attentive to the quiet ways He was already at work in me and around me.
I began to understand that spiritual formation isn’t about doing something radical for God. It is learning to be with Him in all things. I began to live more from my belovedness than from my desire to prove myself useful to God.
Spiritual formation may be a familiar phrase these days, but the reality is something we all experience: we are being formed every day by what we love, attend to, and give ourselves to. My desire is to be formed by the Holy Spirit and by the incredible grace of Jesus, and I love to help create space for other women to experience that same grace.
I love sitting with women of every age and season who have questions, doubts, fears, or simply a longing for more of Jesus in their everyday lives.

Learning to notice god
the work of formation
Spiritual formation is not simply about adding more spiritual practices to an already full life. It is about becoming increasingly attentive to God and allowing His presence to shape the way we live.
For me, this means learning to pay attention—to Scripture, to prayer, to our desires and questions, to the people and circumstances God has placed around us, and to the quiet invitations of the Holy Spirit.
ATTENTION
Learning to notice God’s presence.
PRAYER
Growing in attentive, honest conversation with God.
FORMATION
Allowing our lives to be shaped by Christ.

WALKING WITH WOMEN
ATTENDING TO GOD IN EVERYDAY LIFE
There are seasons when we need someone to sit with us in the questions—to slow down, listen carefully, and help us notice what God may be doing.
I offer spiritual direction for women who long for deeper intimacy with God, a richer life of prayer, or simply a little more space to pay attention.
Perhaps you are longing for more of Jesus in your everyday life. Perhaps you’re in a season of transition, discernment, or spiritual dryness. These are some of the places where spiritual direction can offer meaningful space to listen and attend to God.
TIME SET APART
PERSONALIZED GUIDED RETREATS
A personalized guided retreat creates intentional space to step away from the ordinary rhythms of life and be attentive to God.
Following a spiritual direction session, I can craft a retreat around your particular season, questions, and desires.

Your retreat is created around your particular season, questions, desires, and needs.
Each retreat includes Scripture, guided prayers, journaling prompts, and embodied practices.
Choose the length of retreat that fits your life and the space you need.

guided
You take the retreat on your own, but you don’t have to figure out what to do with the time.
